Perhaps that person was someone who was burned by a REA or snookered into careless financing causing the loss of their home. You never know who is out there reading your site and there are a great deal of people who have been forced out of their homes because they did not understand how an ARM worked or they counted on the real estate market not crashing suddenly as it has in the past 12-18 months. Most unfortunate for all affected. It is sad that people had to go negative on you in your blog. I recently took a training class where the speaker said that one thing most realtors have in common is that we want to be liked. He goes on to say that it is the kiss of death - what we should want is to be respected. People may like you but not want to do business with you but if they respect you, they'll trust you in business. I agree - I was a little sensitive but I get surprised by how negative some people are and overreacted. I hope he/she comes back and posts and engages in a healthy debate. There are those that feel it is needlessly dangerous and ego pumping to post your info. The other side feels it's cowardly and fosters "poster's rage." This question will never be resolved. That said, REAs seem to be a very thin-skinned bunch. Who cares what someone you don't know thinks? Removing posts that do not contain profanity screams unnecessary censorship and threatens your credibility. Last thing: being a spelling nanny says more about you than the person you are criticizing. I'd be happy to debate an issue with a reader, but I hate it when they don't have enough guts to accept some responsibility for their comments. Cowardly attacks and nasty emails are something that you will have to deal with occassionally and just delete. The vast majority of those people will not leave a valid email address and don't want to engage in a discussion, they just want to be as negative as they can. You get used to those types of losers.
